“Kitzingen to Get Cutting-Edge Robotics Research Center with State Funding”

Artificial intelligence, robotics and digitization under one roof – the district of Kitzingen is getting a center for research in the field of robotics. We are funding the future Transfer Technology Center (TTZ) from the Free State. On Thursday afternoon, the Bavarian Science Minister Markus Blume ceremoniously presented the funding certificate.

The TTZ is part of the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt and is to be located in a former barracks building in Kitzingen’s Innopark. The Free State supports the construction of the center with up to six million euros and later ongoing operations with 300,000 euros per year.

In addition, various companies from the region are financially involved in an endowed professorship – including the plaster manufacturer Knauf, the car parts manufacturer Leonie and Franken Guss.

The plan is to officially open the TTZ on October 1st.
