Kitzingen: Almost one million euros for the…

The city of Kitzingen receives almost one million euros in support for the redesign of the upper Mainkai. The government of Lower Franconia announced this on Thursday. The total costs amount to around 1.6 million euros.

The aim is to further upgrade the city center as a place to live, experience and shop. Around ten years ago, the main promenade on the old town side was redesigned up to Gustav-Adolf-Platz for the small garden show – now the remaining area up to the north bridge is to follow.

After the quay wall was rebuilt in the first construction phase, the Main promenade is now to be completed. Trees and seating are planned – this is how meeting points with a direct connection to the Main are to be created.

The end of the construction work is planned for the summer.
