Laksa made her debut in the Latvian state unit on May 11, 2013 in Alytus, Lithuania. A month later, the daughter of the former national basketball player Jānis Laksas became the youngest player of the 2013 European Championship, who left the field. The striker has represented the team in three European finals (2013, 2015, 2017) and the World Cup (2018), scoring 293 points in 51 games. In turn, he scored 654 points in 51 games in the Latvian youth national team. The first coach for a basketball player is Mudīte Zandere. In 2018, Laksa was also recognized as the Latvian basketball player of the year.
