Kirsty Skinner-Gerth is the new Marketing Director at BMW Germany

Kirsty Skinner-Gerth will take over Marketing Management at BMW Germany from February 1, 2021. The Munich carmaker has now announced this. Skinner-Gerth takes over the management position from Marc Lengning, who at the same time changes to the position of customer interaction management (CRM) of the BMW Group.

The head of the German market, Sebastian Mackensen, is pleased that the company was able to win over the “marketing and product expert” Kirsty Skinner-Gerth “for the marketing management of BMW Germany”.

For the past two years, Skinner-Gerth has headed the main department for digital products and customer experiences at the corporate headquarters. “This brings her in addition to her international marketing experience extensive competence in the field of digitization with ”, says Mackensen. The car manufacturer will benefit from this knowledge “in the holistic alignment of marketing along the customer journey and in the further expansion of the BMW brand as a relationship brand”.

Kirsty Skinner-Gerth: With BMW for 22 years

Kirsty Skinner-Gerth has been with the BMW Group since 1998. In the beginning she had various functions at Financial Services UK and in product management at BMW and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Great Britain. She then headed marketing for the Africa, Caribbean and Eastern Europe regions.

In 2014 Skinner-Gerth took over the management of international advertising, online communication and entertainment marketing at the BMW Group. From February onwards, Kirsty Skinner-Gerth will be responsible for the overall marketing of BMW Germany.

Marc Lengning will move to the corporate headquarters on February 1, 2021 and will take over the global one Customer interaction management (CRM) of the BMW Group.
