Kiril Petkov: We are not afraid of anything
Evaluate 2022 as a year of challenges.
“It hasn’t been an easy year: the war that happened not far from Bulgaria, the inflation also brought from outside, but many good things have also happened and we mustn’t forget and lose them,” Petkov stressed. Among them, he listed the finding of little Sashko in Pernik, the participation of thousands of volunteers in Karlovy Vary to overcome the consequences of the floods.
“Something that wasn’t so obvious, but was very positive: the fear started to subside. The manipulators who used fear started to think that this is not a tool with which they can govern Bulgarian citizens,” Petkov said.

Among the fears he indicated the closure of gas, that we will be affected by the war in Ukraine if we act together with a democratic Europe, etc.
“It didn’t happen. The fear started to subside. When it starts to back off, the manipulations stop. And when the manipulations stop, hope comes. Bulgaria can be a positive place where we can all be proud of being Bulgarian,” Petkov said.
