Kiril Petkov welcomes the Greek Prime Minister

The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will hold a meeting on December 20 with the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who will be on his first visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart, the government’s press service announced.

Interestingly, both prime ministers are Harvard graduates. Mitsotakis studied there long before the Bulgarian, as he is older. The neighbor has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard, then a master’s degree from both Harvard and Stanford.

In the Council of Ministers, the two heads of government will hold a private conversation, followed by a plenary session of the two delegations.

The focus of the meeting between the two prime ministers will be the excellent bilateral relations and the opportunities for their even more active development. Regional topics of common interest will also be discussed, as well as current issues on the European agenda.

The Bulgarian delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska and Head of the Political Cabinet of Prime Minister Lena Borislavova.
