Kiril Petkov proposed that the two candidacies for the BNB be withdrawn

ANDREI GYUROV

The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov has proposed that both nominations for head of the BNB be withdrawn and that a new common solution be sought. This happened on Sunday during the coalition council, Dnevnik reported.

Andrei Gyurov and “We continue the change” and Lubomir Karimanski from “There are such people” have been nominated for governor of the central bank.

However, Slavi Trifonov’s party did not accept such an option and insisted that there be a vote in the plenary hall to see who will collect how many votes.

However, the election of a new BNB governor remains for next week, and the vote is expected to take place at the first session of parliament on April 13th. So far, two candidates are not gathering enough support, and the opposition, represented by GERB and MRF, claims that they do not support either.
