The European Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating the case of the arrest of Boyko Borissov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdalina Arnaudova and the charges against them, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov announced tonight at an extraordinary press conference at the Council of Ministers.
The reason for the press conference were the statements of the prosecutor’s office earlier tonight. The state prosecution claims that the police did not report to them a proposal and a draft decree for attracting accused persons and criticized the Interior Ministry for their actions in the last 24 hours in connection with the detention of the three.
“The prosecutor’s office has another serious problem – the European prosecutor’s office is working on this case. Now there is a parallel European structure, which we believe in much more, which is also working on this case and there will be very clear information at European level on how they actually work. they also draw conclusions about what they have done, “said Kiril Petkov. “The battle has begun and from now on we will work with all the tools of Europe to move Bulgaria to the next level. I am sorry that the prosecutor’s office presented itself in such an obvious way tonight,” he added.
Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov stressed that the three charges were handed over to the prosecutor’s office before noon. He also explained why Borisov, Goranov and Arnaudova were arrested under the article of the law on emergencies. “For a long time now, the Ministry of the Interior has no reason to trust the Bulgarian prosecutor’s office. It is usually looking for opportunities to start the criminal process in cases of urgency. he can find out what their fate is, “Rashkov said.
