In recent weeks, Coral Beach has become the subject of disputes between the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Municipality of Tsarevo. On Facebook, outgoing Deputy Prime Minister Borislav Sandov boasted that he had signed an order severely restricting fishing and other activities in the Coral area, prompting sharp objections from local communities. The mayor of Tsarevo, Georgi Lapchev, threatened to appeal to the Administrative Court for the illegality of the order, but for the second week now it turns out that it has not been issued and he has no way to challenge it in court.
