Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev will not be called the Minister of Economy and Finance in the new office of the President. This confirms that the two will embark on a new political project, which is expected to be announced tomorrow.
According to information from “24 hours” Rumen Radev will appoint Petkov’s current deputy minister – Daniela Vezieva. She was also Deputy Minister of Economy in the second government of Boyko Borissov as a representative of the Reformist Bloc.
As Minister of Finance in place of Asen Vassilev, Radev has decided to appoint Valeri Belchev. He headed the Fund of Funds in the second government of Boyko Borissov. This is also the clear proof of what will be the decision of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, who are expected to announce tomorrow about the possible new political project they will undertake.
A new but former caretaker minister will also head transport. It is Hristo Alexiev, who was nominated as a minister in the first cabinet nominated by Slavi Trifonov before returning to office. Alexiev was in this position in the first office of the President in 2017. The future Minister of Transport is currently Chairman of the Board of NRIC. He will replace the current caretaker Minister Georgi Todorov.
