The most likely leader of the list of “We continue the change” for Burgas in the upcoming parliamentary elections is Academician Nikolay Denkov.
This was confirmed by the chairmen of the party, Asen Vassilev and Kiril Petkov, who today met with their supporters in our city.
Vassilev explained that the remaining names on the Burgas list will become clear to the National Council next week.
However, the leader of the list himself did not attend the meeting with Burgas today because of his commitment abroad.
For his part, Kiril Petkov did not fail to bite his previous partner in the assembly Boyko Borisov again.
„The first thing Borisov has to answer is whether he will break his addiction to Peevski. What we saw and see is that Mr. Peevski holds the so-called “infrastructure” – prosecutor’s office and services, and Mr. Borisov holds the votes, which guarantees that there will be no reform in them. The point is that they must be separated from each other so that we can move forward, because I do not believe that Mr. Peevski will voluntarily give up his power, and Mr. Borisov, as long as they keep him with this dependence, cannot do the things that all Bulgarians want – for there to be justice, for there to be no rigged contests and for the most honest people to enter the regulators, the services, the prosecutor’s office and the Supreme Judicial Council. Because otherwise we only talk about reforms, and we want change. The people in GERB themselves do not want this dependence on Peevski, such as Rosen Zhelyazkov and Maria Gabriel, who are forced to do things against their will.” he said.
Petkov added that “We continue the change” are ready for talks on forming a government with GERB, if they have the will for reforms and without anyone feeling that they own the state and the institutions.
“Then we can talk, we have no problem. This is not about personal attacks, but about institutional dependencies that we need to get rid of. In fact, Mr. Borisov should get rid of himself first so that his MPs can vote freely” explained Petkov.
