Young Conrad (Harris Dickinson) is introduced to the secret world of British espionage by the Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes). He meets numerous historical figures such as the British general Herbert Kitchener (Charles Dance) and the Serbian assassin Gavrilo Princip (Robert Aramayo), as well as the mysterious and equally dangerous Russian Grigori Rasputin (Rhys Ifans), who together with the mysterious shepherd (Matthew Goode) and the monarchs George V, Wilhelm II and Nicholas II (all played by Tom Hollander) hatched a conspiracy that could bring the world to ruin. Now it is up to Conrad and the Duke to save humanity from destruction – and for this they have not only extraordinary equipment, but also very special fighting skills at their disposal …
