Advantage Bayern in the CL meeting
Kingsley Coman lowered PSG again.
This after Kylian Mbappé had a goal disallowed.
Now it’s Bayern Munich’s advantage in the Champions League round of 16.
When Bayern Munich won the Champions League three years ago, it was Paris lad Kingsley Coman who scored the only goal of the final as PSG were defeated.
Today he became a hero again when he was back in his old hometown.
Started on the bench
When the Germans won 1-0 in the first round of the Champions League, it was the Frenchman who outwitted Gianluigi Donnarumma after just under an hour of play. Out of respect for his old club, he did not celebrate the goal.
Born in the French capital, Coman made his league debut for PSG in 2013 before leaving the club a year later.
Kylian Mbappé started on the bench for the home team after a spell of injury, but came on fairly immediately after Coman’s goal.
Goal disallowed
With just over five minutes left to play, the big star equalized on a counterattack, but the goal was later ruled out due to a slight offside on Nuno Mendes.
The Germans were the better team and had several chances to make it 2-0 before the disallowed goal fell.
– This is a match that Bayern dominates from start to finish and clearly wins fairly. Maybe they should have had another goal, says Kim Källström in C More.
The return is played in Munich on March 8.
