SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Domantas Sabonis had a season-high 34 points and 11 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings beat the San Antonio Spurs 119-109 on Wednesday night for their seventh straight loss. .
De’Aaron Fox added 31 points for Sacramento, which won two in a row and nine of 12 to stay atop the Pacific Division.
The Spurs, who have lost 12 of 13, were led by rookie Malaki Branham’s 22 points, his best of the season. Still without Devin Vassell, San Antonio was without two starters, Tre Jones and Jeremy Sochan, in the first quarter due to injuries.
Even without their top six scorers, the Spurs kept pace with Sacramento’s offense, the best in the NBA, for much of the game. Josh Richardson added 19 points for San Antonio in his return to action after missing three games with a sore left knee.
Sacramento, which matched his season average points of 119.5 per game, rode a 14-2 run to lead 49-37 midway through the second quarter.
