Shortly after 9 p.m. the family arrived by car at Huis ten Bosch palace.
Yesterday the family left with the government plane for their holiday villa in Greece. Because of the fuss that arose about this, Willem-Alexander informed the Government Information Service a few hours after landing in Greece that the family would breaking down.
“We see people’s reactions to media reports. And they are intense, and they affect us,” they wrote in a statement.
The government plane had meanwhile returned to the Netherlands, which is why the king and his family members flew back to the Netherlands in a KLM Boeing 737 one day after their departure.
