Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte kept the king informed on Friday about the developments surrounding the fall of the cabinet. On Saturday, Rutte will update him on this, the outgoing prime minister said at a press conference on Friday evening.
After considering their resignation, Willem-Alexander has asked the ministers to “continue to do whatever they deem necessary in the interest of the Kingdom”. Simply put: keep doing what it takes.
The king will receive Rutte on Saturday at Huis ten Bosch Palace for an explanation of the cabinet’s application for resignation.
