King Saud Medical City, a member of the Riyadh Health Cluster, recorded nearly 20,000 surgical operations during the past year 2023, in various medical specialties in the children’s hospital, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, and the general hospital.
The Director of Operations Department, Dr. Hussein Al-Yousef, also explained that the year 2023 witnessed an increase in the number of one-day operations at Saud Medical, as about 2,500 operations were performed per day, thanks to the diligence and cohesion of the efforts of the medical staff and the support from the Ministry of Health.

It is worth noting that this number of operations is not new to King Saud Medical City, which has been successful in performing a large number of operations since 2022, and the most important feature of it is the hybrid operating rooms in which traditional operations, radiology rooms, as well as operations equipped with a robot for delicate operations were combined.
