King Philippe visits a drinking water treatment plant

King Philippe went to Profondeville, in the province of Namur, to visit a water purification site. The site is managed by Vivaqua, which manages a large part of Belgium’s sewerage network.

The King of the Belgians visited the drinking water plant of the Vivaque company in Tailfer. The Tailfer river flows into the Meuse. A water treatment center is installed in this hamlet, from where drinking water is redistributed through the network which supplies more than 2.25 million inhabitants in the 3 regions of the country. The company is one of the largest producers and distributors of drinking water in Belgium.
