Muscat: Jordan’s King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein has returned from an official two-day visit to strengthen ties and expand cooperation. Rajav returned after signing seven agreements on industry, anti-monopoly, mining, labor, historical documentation, document and archive management, and information exchange.
Cooperation has also been agreed in the fields of supervision of the insurance sector, consumer protection, higher education, research, innovation and tourism. The foreign ministers of both countries signed the agreement and greeted King and Queen Rania Al Abdullah and the delegation at the royal airport under the leadership of the personal representative of the Sultan and Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation, Syed Asad bin Tariq Al Said.
It was also decided to make joint investments in various sectors between the two countries. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the ruler of Oman, and King Abdullah II of Jordan announced this in a joint statement the other day. They expressed support for expanding economic diversification, private sector partnerships and trade exchanges.
The two leaders also spoke of the need to reach a just and definitive solution to the issue that satisfies all the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
