King Kong and Godzilla may be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone

That writes journalist Tom Henderson in an article by Xfire† Henderson first got wind of the rumors through a now-deleted Twitter account. That account posted a slew of artwork, including an image of King Kong knocking out a World War II plane and an image of Godzilla destroying soldiers on the ground. The images caught Henderson’s eye because they were accompanied by two images from Warzone season 2.

Officially, Activision hasn’t announced anything about future Warzone events yet. So it is still far from clear whether King Kong and Godzilla will come to Warzone, but the possibility is there. It could also be that the images are just an example of how Warzone will handle major events in the future. With this, it would like to follow the line that Fortnite has deployed.

Activision has had big plans since its launch in 2020, but recently it turned out that the current Warzone is not ready for the future. That is why a successor to Warzone is being worked on, which should be released next to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 this year. The new version of Warzone is built on a completely new engine.
