Jakarta –
Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Raja Juli Antoni officially serves as Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency (Vice Minister of ATR/BPN). King Juli replaces Surya Tjandra.
Raja told that his appointment as Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN was unexpected. No doubt it made his heart beat fast.
“Yesterday afternoon the President was summoned by the President to the palace, somewhat unexpectedly, I’m not too sure that he will be appointed as deputy minister of ATR/BPN, but in the room there is already Pak Hadi and he said this is all introduced, this is the minister, this is the deputy, continue I asked ‘what minister, sir?’ ATR/BPN, I’m a little nervous about ATR/BPN,” said Raja, during the handover of his position at the ATR/BPN Ministry Office on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, South Jakarta, Wednesday (15/6/2022).
Juli admitted that actually what the Ministry of ATR/BPN was doing was not a field that he controlled.
“First, for me, this is a mandate that is not easy, not easy at all, because with humility I must admit that this is not a field that I have been involved in so far,” he said.
Therefore, he asked to be guided by the Minister of ATR/BPN so that he could quickly adapt to his new duties. What’s more, President Joko Widodo said that the Ministry of ATR/BPN must also move quickly.
“Therefore we need acceleration so God willing I will become a fast learner, a quick learner. But of course with input, guidance from gentlemen, seniors, all civil servants in the ATR BPN environment, not only in this office of course, but maybe staff at the very bottom where we are struggling, struggling to carry out the work of this nation’s mandate by properly measuring land measurements anywhere,” he said.
Furthermore, he also revealed that Surya Tjandra was his friend when he received his master’s degree in England. But split up when taking the S3. He studied in Australia, while Tjandra in the Netherlands. Then united again in one party.
