On Thursday, according to the plan, a palace dinner will be held for the representatives of the Storting, which is thus hanging in the balance for the king.

In addition to the king, Queen Sonja (86), Crown Prince Haakon (50) and Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50), and Princess Astrid Mrs Ferner (91) will also be present.

Earlier in the day, there was a fixed audience with Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide (Ap).

On Friday, an audience with Prime Minister Støre and ministers at the Palace is on the programme.

The palace refuses to comment

Guri Varpe, head of communications at the Palace, tells NTB that she has no other information about the king than what is in the press release.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) writes in a message to NTB that he wishes the king a speedy recovery.
