It has almost been two months since King Frederik (55) and Queen Mary (52) took over the throne in Denmark.
With roles such as king and queen also comes a lot of responsibility and new tasks. Among other things, the royal couple will organize the traditional Hæderstegn dinner. It would take place on March 11, according to Picturemagazine.
The dinner has previously been held at Christian VII’s castle, but now the royal couple will have made changes.
– I regretted it very much
Frederik and Mary have moved the dinner to Frederik VII’s castle, which royal house expert Ulrik Ulriksen believes is a clear sign that the royal couple now want to do things their own way.
– The fact that the royal couple chooses to move the Hæderstegn dinner sends clear signals. They want their guests in a private setting instead of using the perhaps more neutral Christian VII’s castle, he says to Picturemagazine.

Without elaborating, Ulriksen goes on to say that the royal couple have made small changes which may indicate that the Danish royal house is moving towards newer times.
– It’s all about to turn around after King Frederik and Queen Mary took over.
Brought to tears
Despite the fact that the lives as king and queen undoubtedly offer greater responsibility and increased attention, it may appear that the new royal couple have arranged for a soft start.
Together, they currently only have a handful of official days at work, and after it became known that they had chosen to go away on winter break.
Danes BT then named them “The King and Queen of Holiday: Have more time off than they work”, or “The King and Queen of Holiday: Have more time off than they work”.
