“King Charles III’s Coronation Ceremony in London: Thousands Gather to Witness the Solemnity”

From early morning, thousands of Britons took to the streets of London to watch the solemn coronation ceremony of King Charles III.

In front of the residence of the heads of state of the United Kingdom – Buckingham Palace – tribunes were erected for the invited guests, including veterans of the armed forces and employees of the National Health and Social Care Service.

The ceremony began at 11 a.m. Bulgarian time with a parade of about 200 members of the armed forces – most of them from the sovereign’s cavalry escort. They will take part in the procession to Westminster Abbey, where the religious ritual will take place. It will start at 1 p.m.

The monarch’s son Prince Harry, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, cabinet members, party leaders, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, leaders of religious communities and other officials arrived at the main church of the Church of England.

Among those present were the wife of US President Joe Biden – Jill Biden and the American singer Lionel Richie.

On the occasion of the coronation of Charles III in the capital of Great Britain, statesmen from all over the world will be present.
