The King of Great Britain, Charles III, has officially returned from a conditional “hospital” – the monarch made a public visit for the first time after announcing his battle with cancer.
As Reuters writes, the head of state visited the Macmillan College Cancer Center in London. He talked to the patients and told one of them that he was feeling “good”. However, he clarified that he will be forced to undergo the necessary medical procedures.
Charles also officially became the patron of the Cancer Research charity, which aims to spread information about cancer and call for early diagnosis of the disease.
Buckingham Palace has already announced some of the king’s future plans. In June, he will most likely take part in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the landing of Allied troops in Normandy. Also, Charles and his wife Camilla will personally receive in London the Japanese Emperor Naruhito, who will arrive on an official visit.
