King Charles III, Prince William, and Prince George Pose for Official Coronation Portrait

On the first, Charles, seated on his throne, wears the imperial crown and the ceremonial robe, holding the sovereign’s orb and scepter. He is surrounded, on his right, by his son William (40) in ceremonial uniform and, on his left, by his grandson George (9) in page uniform. This is the first time the trio have posed together for an official portrait without Queen Elizabeth II.

In the second photograph, King Charles III is much more surrounded. Notably by Queen Consort Camilla, the pages of honor and the ladies present at the coronation, including Annabel Eliot, Camilla’s sister.

These two photographs were taken by Hugo Burnand in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace, just hours after the end of the coronation ceremony.
