“King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s Coronation Ceremony: A Grand Celebration in Britain”

King Charles III is crowned in Britain. Charles III is the oldest person to become King of Britain. Camilla was also crowned as queen. More than 2,200 delegates from different countries attended the coronation ceremony held in Britain after seven decades. Charles and Camilla were escorted in procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, where the coronation ceremony took place. Seven thousand soldiers and 19 military bands accompanied. Tens of thousands of people had lined the streets since yesterday to witness the biggest official event in Britain since Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953. Charles III arrived at Westminster Abbey at 11am local time. First the oath was taken. Charles then sat on the historic throne, the Stone of Destiny, also known as King Edward’s Chair.

The head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, officiated the coronation ceremony. The archbishop gave Charles the sword and scepter, symbols of kingship. Then the crown agreement took place. This was followed by the ceremony of crowning Camilla as Queen. Another historic moment was when Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has roots in India, read the Bible at Charles III’s coronation ceremony.

Charles III was crowned in the presence of over 2,200 invited guests, including members of the royal family, heads of state and celebrities. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar attended the function as the official representative of India. Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor also witnessed the crowning ceremony.
