King Charles: His first message after being diagnosed with cancer – 2024-03-13 12:05:12

King Charles’ message for his annual Commonwealth Day speech has been leaked. Unlike previous years this time it will be filmed.

According to what has become known, the message was taped last month at Windsor Castle. In his speech he will emphasize that “diversity” was the main “strength” of the Commonwealth and that the union of 56 member countries was for him a “precious source of strength, inspiration and pride.”

“Over the last few weeks, I have been deeply moved by your wonderfully kind and thoughtful wishes for my health, and in return I cannot but continue to serve you to the best of my ability throughout the Commonwealth.”, the king said in his video message. And he added: “My faith in our joint efforts and the potential of our peoples remains as certain and strong as it has ever been.”

In fact, during the speech he recorded, he states that “I have no doubt that we will continue to support each other across the Commonwealth as we continue this vital journey together.”

Among other things, King Charles is expected to say: “Having recently celebrated my 75th birthday, it warms my heart to think of the way the Commonwealth has been a constant throughout my life – a precious source of strength, inspiration and pride. In recent weeks I have been deeply moved by your wonderful kind and thoughtful wishes for my health, and in return I can only continue to serve you to the best of my ability throughout the Commonwealth.

My belief in our joint efforts and the potential of our people remains as certain and strong as ever. I have no doubt that we will continue to support each other across the Commonwealth as we continue this vital journey together.”
