King Charles’ cancer treatments on hiatus –

King Charles and the queen Camilla will embark on a nine-day royal tour of Australia and Samoa next week.

Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February, and since then he has been receiving weekly cancer treatments. The Mirror reports that there will be a break in treatments for the duration of the delegation trip.

Charles will be traveling for a total of 11 days and will continue his treatments after returning home.

Initially, it was rumored that Charles would handle up to 12 representation tasks a day during his trip. According to the Mirror, however, palace aides have refuted the rumours.

The assistants assure that the details of the trip have been carefully agreed with the doctors. Doctors are confident that Charles will be able to skip his planned cancer treatment during his absence.

The upcoming diplomatic trip will be Charles’ first trip to Australia since becoming king in September 2022.

Workaholic

Charles has said that he is receiving chemotherapy. After his cancer diagnosis, Charles withdrew from his public representation duties for a good couple of months, although he continued to work in the office.

After his return to work, Hovi has repeatedly emphasized that Charles follows the instructions of his doctors and that his representative duties are shaped accordingly.

According to the Mirror, Charles has also received support from nature for his recovery. According to a close source, Charles feels that fresh air and time spent with his family played a significant part in his recovery.

The source describes the king as a workaholic.

– He hasn’t really slowed down, even though people close to him have complained about it. It has been important for him to stay visible. Even during his treatments, he has wanted to make sure that things are in order for his full-time return. Now things are moving in a very positive direction, which has allowed him to make long-term plans, the source tells the Mirror.
