On February 5, the court announced the sad news: King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. The public has not been told in more detail which cancer it is. However, Hovi clarified that it is not prostate cancer. Charles’ treatments were started immediately.

Charles’ royal representative duties have been moved as needed. Some of the tasks have been transferred to his son William, Prince of Wales.
– His majesty will continue his state duties and responsibilities as head of state, as well as his official paperwork, the court told Reuters after the diagnosis.

Charles has continued his meetings with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for the time being. His wife, Queen Camilla, has continued with her own duties.
Prince Harry has also kept in touch with his ailing father. Harry has expressed his desire to return to the work of the court, but according to inside sources, King Charles does not want Harry to work on royal duties in any form.
