King Charles and Queen Camilla share this year’s Christmas card | Mix

Ammon – The festive season has begun and the atmosphere of Christmas and welcoming the New Year has begun to spread throughout the world. Among those atmospheres that people are accustomed to are Christmas greeting cards, which have become an established royal tradition among all royal families. One of the first royal families to share the Christmas card was the British royal family, represented by King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The year 2023 was a year full of royal engagements and events, the first of its kind for King Charles and Queen Camilla. One of the most prominent events of this year for them is their coronation ceremony as King and Queen of Britain.

Given the value and importance of this event to the King and Queen, they chose to carry their Christmas card with their photo from the coronation ceremony, taken by photographer Hugo Bernand – who took photos of the King and Queen’s wedding in 2005 – in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace after their coronation on May 6.

Last year’s Christmas greeting card was a special one, as it was the first for the royal couple as King and Queen. King Charles was pictured smiling, as Camilla looked on affectionately, at the Braemar Games, a special exhibition of Scottish heritage and traditional games held every year in the Scottish Highlands, in early September, just days before Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Prince William and Kate Middleton posted on their social media accounts a family photo that seems somewhat classic, taken by photographer Josh Shiner earlier this year, in black and white, with their children. Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

Charlotte is the center of attention in the picture, as she is the only one sitting in a chair, with Kate and William behind them, putting their arm around their two sons.
