– Quite well, replied the king when asked by the press how the shape was.
King Harald was admitted to the Rikshospitalet with an infection just before Christmas but was discharged on 21 December.
– The king is recovering, but he will take it easy for a few days, was the message from the Palace at the time.
News broke on Dec. 22 that the 85-year-old has decided to sign up as an active competitive hunter.
– Everything has its time, says King Harald on the NRK program “The Year with the Royal Family”.
For the service in the beautiful Holmenkollen Chapel, King Harald and Queen Sonja gathered with the Crown Prince’s family.
It was unclear whether King Harald could attend the service, but just before 12 the car stopped outside the chapel door.
With the help of crutches, he took the few steps on the packed snow and was warmly welcomed by the pastor of the Ris sound church, Paul Erik Wirgenes.
Queen Sonja, the Crown Prince couple and Princess Ingrid Alexandra also went to church.
