The reasons
The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said Wednesday it is investigating dozens of reported cases of salmonella in at least nine countries. It added that chocolate products had been identified as “a probable route of contamination”.
–
This week, Ferrero withdrew several candy batches from Spain, the UK and Ireland.
–
On Wednesday, Ferrero Polska told TVN24 Biznes that as part of preventive measures, certain batches of Ferrero sweets are also withdrawn from the Polish market.
–
“Although no salmonella has been detected in any of the Kinder products launched on the market, and no consumer complaint has been received by Ferrero, the company takes the matter very seriously. Caring for consumers is always Ferrero’s top priority,” the company said.
–
“We are working with retailers to ensure that recalled products are no longer available for sale. If someone is in possession of one of these products, do not eat it. Please keep your product and contact our Consumer Care team: Service .konsumencki @ ferrero.com “- added the company.
