REGION.
The Laatzen lawyer Fritz Willig is known for his kind soul and his friendliness to donate. “It’s fun to help,” he said in his welcoming speech to the large number of guests in the completely newly furnished Müllingen Tivoli. The owners Bogdan and Iva Markota will reopen the well-known excursion restaurant in Bockmer Holz in mid-October after a break of more than a year.
For Fritz Willig it is clear: “We have set ourselves the goal of being there for other people. It’s fun to help others or just support them. A generous donation goes to the Association of Children with Cancer Hannover eV at the Medical School Hanover. Frederike Ludwig-Lück, managing director of the association, gave a detailed insight into the association’s work. “We have been supporting many projects for forty years,” she said. “We finance ourselves exclusively from donations.”
Clubs such as SV Germania Grasdorf, the Laatzen Sports Association, the Gifhorn Boxing Club, the Laatzen Shooting Club, the Laatzen Fishing Club, the athletics department of the TKJ Sarstedt, the Müllingen/Wirringen Fire Department, the HSC Hannover, the Laatzen Hunting Association, were also happy to take part 1. FC Germania Egestorf/Langreder and the Weiskirchen music band received their donation check from the hands of Petra Willig and Friedrich Schleenbecker. In addition, a few people each received a restaurant voucher.
At the beginning, Fritz Willig remembered Klaus Oberheide, a long-time member of Fritz Willig & Friends, who died in February. “He was one of us and was always there when he was needed.” Klaus Oberheide also bequeathed his house in Ingeln/Oesselse to the Hanover Association of Children with Cancer.
For the new landlords Bogdan and Iva Markota, this event was something like a dress rehearsal for the restaurant business that would soon follow. The guests agreed: “The food was great, the service was excellent.”
