Out-of-school care will remain open, but parents should send their children as little as possible until the Easter holidays. This is stated in a guideline that Kind en Gezin is distributing to the childcare initiatives.

The guideline comes in response to the new corona measures in education that were announced by the education ministers on Sunday. These new measures mainly mean that as many activities as possible must take place outside and that the different class groups remain separated as much as possible. But this separation is not always feasible in out-of-school care, says Kind en Gezin.
The daycare will remain open, let us know on Sunday evening. It advises the sector to “mix as few groups as possible, as far as feasible within your context”. At the same time, parents are urged not to use out-of-school care if possible and to look for another solution as much as possible until the Easter holidays.
Kind en Gezin also recommends that children play and eat outside as much as possible in out-of-school care. Pupils of the fifth and sixth grade must always wear a mouth mask, even outside. And the supervisors must also wear a mouth mask at all times, even with the toddlers.
