Kim Yo Jong Responds to Biden’s Statement Threatening North Korea with Annihilation

Kim Yo Young, the younger brother of North Korean leader (North Korea) Kim Jong Un, responded to the statement of the President of the United States (US) threatening to annihilate the regime that launched a nuclear attack on South Korea (South Korea). Kim Yo Jong called the statement absurd and came from a senile person.

Reported The Guardian, Sunday (30/4/2023), Kim Yo Jong’s statement appeared after Biden met with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday (26/4). After the meeting, Biden said that any North Korean nuclear strike against the US or its allies would lead to the end of any regime that took such action.

In response to that statement, Kim Yo Young then called Biden senile and incompetent. According to him, Biden’s statement made no sense.

“This could be considered an absurd statement by a senile man who is completely incompetent to take responsibility for the security and future of the United States, an old man with no future, because it is too much for him to serve the remaining two years of his term.” Kim said, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.

Previously, Kim Yo Jong also warned against the US and South Korea’s agreement to strengthen defense commitments in the face of Pyongyang’s threats. Kim Yo Jong considered that this would trigger a “more serious danger”.

“The more the enemy vigorously conducts nuclear war games, and the more nuclear assets they deploy around the Korean Peninsula, the more vigorously we will exercise our right to self-defense,” Kim Yo Jong said, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). .

Kim Yo Young, who is one of his brother’s top foreign policy officials, said the US-South Korean meeting further strengthened North Korea’s confidence in increasing its nuclear weapons capabilities. He said it would be critical for North Korea to complete its “second nuclear war deterrence mission”.

“The more the enemies die in carrying out nuclear war exercises, and the more nuclear assets they use around the Korean Peninsula, the stronger our right to self-defense will be,” said Kim Yo Jong.

As previously reported, Yoon and Biden, on Wednesday (26/4) local time, released an agreement called the ‘Washington Declaration’ whose contents strengthened the US nuclear umbrella over South Korea. The deal was reached at a time when Seoul has become increasingly concerned about Pyongyang’s aggressive posture.

A US official told AFP on condition of anonymity that the deal would include “routine deployment of strategic assets”, including the first visit to a South Korean port by a nuclear ballistic submarine in decades.
