Atomic blonde! Kim Kardashian kills his platinum era.
Since unveiling icy braids at the 2022 Met Gala, the television personality, best known for her jet black waves, has made her stunning debut.
For fashion’s biggest night in May 2022, Kardashian wore the new color, locks in a ruffled bun, leaving behind her vintage Bob Mackie dress – which Marilyn Monroe wore when she serenaded President John F. Kennedy on the day of his 45th birthday in 1962 – pop. The crystal-covered gown perfectly complemented the reality TV star’s blonde as she was champagne colored, which was the goal, according to the hairstylist Chris Appleton.
“The hair look was simple to show the platinum color, give the hair color and attract attention,” she said. Rowing at the time. “I wanted it to be iconic for Marilyn, but also iconic for Kim when she’s got her blond moment of hers.”
Skims CEO has revealed that she is his sister Kylie Jenner‘s Married to the Met video, that the dye job took “14 hours” and was so busy transforming it “might make my hair fall out.” On the red carpet, Kardashian shared: “I’m excited to stay blonde for a while.”
True to her word, the California native kept her sister’s bold shadow Kourtney Kardashianthe wedding of Travis Barker in Portofino, Italy, a few weeks after the Met.
While in Europe, Kim pulled up her mane in a dramatic hairstyle that made her stand out. For the romantic evening, the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, including the bride, wore garments from the Italian fashion house. Kim’s selections all came from her vast archive, which also captured the attention of the designers themselves.
Flash-forward to Milan fashion week in September 2022, the founder of SKKN by Kim collaborated with the designers Domenico Dolce et Stefano Gabbana for a collection of her favorite archive looks from the 90s and early 2000s, which they dubbed Hello, Kim. Models dominated the runway with corset dresses, silver dresses, sheer jumpsuits and more as a black and white clip of Kardashian eating spaghetti played in the background.
For her part, Kim closed the show with a black dress adorned with Dolce & Gabbana jewels that made her life seem non-existent.
At the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards two months later, she wore one of the reissued designs, opting for a strapless PVC number. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, who received the Innovation Award at the event for her Skims brand, paired the sheer sheer outfit with a bold look with wet hair, making her crown the accessory perfect.
With her frosted locks, Kim has created a memorable aesthetic that is very different from all the other times she has done her hair (she had previously gone blonde in 2017). This time around, the Hulu star’s appearance appears livelier, bolder and bolder.
