Kim Kardashian was one of the celebrities who stood out on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2023. This time, she gave something to talk about thanks to the peculiar dress with which she honored the legacy of Karl Lagerfeld.
Unlike last year, which caused controversy because it used an iconic Marilyn Monroe garment, in this edition the superstar opted for an ‘outfit’ created to measure for her.

Kim Kardashian showed off her hourglass figure in a custom Schiaparelli couture design by Daniel Roseberry, according to People.
The Skims founder’s maximalist outfit consisted of a draped skirt and top made with pearls, more than 50 thousand freshwater and 16 thousand crystal.

She also wore a beige-gold satin two-piece bodysuit that hugged her body. “This year I just wanted to feel glamorous. I didn’t really feel the pressure,” she told US Vogue.
According to the report, the piece took a dozen artisans a thousand hours to make it. The gems were precisely the tribute to Lagerfeld, who often used them in his work.
“I wanted pearls. I thought: ‘What is more Karl?’. You know, the iconic Chanel pearls are what I’ve always thought about. So we wanted to just be drenched in pearls,” Kim said.

The star of ‘The Kardashians’ revealed that, unfortunately, she had a problem before appearing on the red carpet.
“Some (pearls) appeared on the road, and I told my daughter (North) to grab them all. They are real pearls and she was keeping them all in her bag,” she recounted.
She also added a cream cape, with ruffled sleeves, which flowed into a long crepe train that trailed behind her.

As for her makeup, she opted for the characteristic ‘nude’ tones, with her eyes standing out thanks to a ‘smokey eye’.
