Kim Kardashian West had to take a break and you must have known. “After two weeks of quarantine and several health checks, I surprised my closest friends with a trip to a private island where we could pretend everything was normal for a moment,” the reality star and businesswoman wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. The occasion was her 40th birthday.
It was appropriately celebrated with dance parties, bike rides and swims with whales. “And so much more,” said Kardashian West. In her own words, the party on the private island was ‘a modest reminder of how privileged’ she is. “I know this seems out of reach for many people at the moment,” she reflects. The coronavirus pushes the Kardashians face to face with the facts: it makes them realize “what a luxury it is to be able to travel and be with family and friends in a safe environment.”
