Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce has occupied the media and public for months. The argument about children and sensitivities is also carried out via social media.
Despite her split from rapper Kanye West, Kim Kardashian still sees her ex-husband as part of the family. “I hate that it had to go like this.” But when it comes to her or the kids, they’ll “always be family,” the 41-year-old told ABC’s The Kardashians. For the children, West and she would have to speak to each other every day, the US reality star said.
Kardashian and West have four children together: eldest daughter North is seven, followed by son Saint, five, daughter Chicago, four, and son Psalm, who turns three in May. “At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy, healthy, and think everything of their dad. And they are.” Kardashian filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. The separation dispute had recently escalated publicly in the social media of the two stars. The topic was, for example, whether the children should have a presence on social media or not.
New relationship happiness
According to media reports, West has had mental problems for years. In a 2019 cover story for Vogue magazine, Kim Kardashian mentioned that her husband has bipolar disorder. The following year, she asked for sympathy for West: “He is a brilliant but complicated person who, alongside the pressures of being an artist and being black, has experienced the painful loss of his mother and is dealing with the pressure and isolation that his bipolar disorder amplified,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
Even in the course of the separation, West, who now only calls himself Ye after a name change last year, attracted attention with abusive postings on social media. For example, he shared a deal against comedian Pete Davidson, who Kim Kardashian is now dating. With this new relationship, she has now found happiness, Kardashian said in mid-March on the television show “Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
