Kim Kardashian has filed a lawsuit in California to speed up her divorce from Kanye West. In it, according to People magazine, which could view the documents, she asks to separate the division of custody and possessions from the divorce proceedings, so that she has officially unmarried status as soon as possible.

The reality star filed for divorce papers in February. In the new request, she says she has since urged West several times to dissolve the marriage as quickly and amicably as possible, but he has so far been uncooperative. Her lawyers write in the papers that Kardashian has no desire to reunite and wants to end the marriage.
“Insurmountable differences have caused this marriage to break down, and it is not possible to salvage it through therapy or other methods,” People said in the request. “Maintaining marital status serves no purpose, and there is no reason to maintain a legal relationship.”
