In an interview with “Allure,” Kim Kardashian revealed that she went on a strict diet for three weeks to lose weight and wear Marilyn Monroe’s famous dress at this year’s Met Gala. The diet gave the desired result, but it cost her health.
The reality star and makeup guru lost nearly eight pounds and walked the red carpet in a Bobby Mackey gown. In an interview, she explained that a change in diet led to psoriatic arthritis. Just before she started her diet, she was following a vegetarian type of diet, but the other diet she started included meat dishes.
“Psoriasis flared up all over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis. I couldn’t move my arms. I had to go to a rheumatologist who gave me therapy. I got scared and immediately cut meat from my diet. Soon everything calmed down.” she says.
There were no carbs or sugar in the Kardashian diet. Although it still claims that it was successful and that the goal was achieved, the health implications are still there.
