Kim Kardashian had several Marilyn moments at the 2022 Met Gala.
After walking the red carpet Monday in the iconic Jean Louis dress worn by Marilyn Monroe to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy in 1962, the Skims founder slipped into her hotel a second memorable look at the screen star’s back.
“To top off my night out after The Met, I had the honor of donning Marilyn Monroe’s Norman Norell dress, which she wore to the 1962 Golden Globes — where she received the Henrietta Award For World Film Favorite,” Kardashian, 41, captioned photos of himself in the sparkling green robe Friday.
“In my search for the hand embroidered Jean Louis dress I wore to the gala, I discovered that @heritageauctions owned Marilyn’s iconic green sequin dress.”

Even more coincidentally, Kardashian’s florist Jeff Leatham received Monroe’s Golden Globe Award that very night, making it a perfect accessory for the fashion mogul.

Before Kardashian made headlines with her first Monroe look on the carpet — and turned into a replica after ascending to avoid damaging the priceless museum piece — Kardashian revealed to Vogue that she also wore a replica of the blonde bombshell’s Globes dress in her had possession.
“I think I could just wear this to eat pizza in my hotel room,” she quipped.
Kardashian clearly kept her word.
