Kim Kardashian has addressed criticism on social media that her maternity line Skims would like to make pregnant women look thinner. “It does not make your stomach smaller, but gives support,” said the reality star on Sunday Twitter.

Kardashian explains that she developed the pregnancy line after receiving requests from “tens of thousands” of pregnant women.

“I could have used such products when I was pregnant myself,” explains the reality star. The pregnancy line comes out on September 16.

Actress Jameela Jamil, among others, criticized Kardashian’s pregnancy line. “It would be so cool if pregnant people could just put on weight without feeling embarrassed or ashamed that their body changes,” said Jamil via Twitter.
