Kardashian apparently takes after the royal family – or at least wants to be like the tragically deceased Princess Diana. 40-year-old Kardashian paid $197,453 to get her hands on an impressive-sized cross worn by Princess Diana in 1987.

The auction house “Sotheby’s” informed about the purchase. The annual “Royal & Noble” auction took place in Nule, and Kardashian’s representative was one of the four bidders for the necklace, which is called the “Cross of Attalus”. For more than double the final price estimate, the ring went to Kardashian’s representative.

“We are delighted that this piece has been given a new lease of life and has come to the wearer of another world-renowned name,” said Christian Spofforth, Head of Jewelery at Sotheby’s London.

The Princess of Wales wore this cross to a charity event in London in 1987, matching it with a purple velvet dress by designer Catherine Walker. The cross was worn by Diana, set in a string of pearls. Already at that time, such a choice was considered a very bold combination.

The authorship of the cross belongs to the company “Garrard & Co”, it was made in the 20s of the 20th century. Cross size: 136x95mm.
