Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The sister of Supreme Leader of North Korea (North Korea) Kim Jong Un, Kim Yo Jong, warned the President of the United States (US) Joe Biden. He threatened that Biden would not sleep well for the next four years.
“These words of advice are for the new US government which is spreading the ‘smell of gunpowder’ on our soil,” wrote Yonhap cite it as reported AFP, Tuesday (16/3/2021).
“If you want to sleep well for the next four years, it would be best not to create ‘early jobs’ that keep you from sleeping.”
Then what is the reason?
This was conveyed by Kim Yo Jong in conjunction with a meeting of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea (South Korea).
Austin and Blinken did travel separately to Asia this week. They will hold talks with a number of parties, including Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
After from Japan, the two of them will continue their trip to South Korea. Austin is also rumored to be heading to India while Blinken holds talks back in the US with Chinese officials.
In a joint opinion in the Washington Post on Monday, the two blusukan ‘to Asia as they seek to revive US relations with friends and partners. The visit will also feature a united front on the challenges posed by China.
The visit is also expected to discuss North Korea, related to nuclear development. US-North Korea relations were at their lowest in 2017 when the hermit country tested a long-range missile it claims was capable of reaching the US.
