North Korean leader Kim Jong-un continues his tour of Russia. On September 15, he visited Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where he visited aviation enterprises that assemble Su-35 and Su-57 fighter jets, as well as the SJ-100 passenger aircraft. Kim Jong-un was also shown a demonstration flight of the Su-35 fighter.
The North Korean leader was accompanied by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. “We see potential for cooperation both in the field of aircraft manufacturing and in other industries – this is especially important for achieving the tasks facing our countries to achieve technological sovereignty,” Manturov said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
From Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Kim Jong-un’s armored train set off for Vladivostok.
For Kim Jong-un, the trip to Russia is the first official visit to a foreign country in four years. Earlier, the North Korean leader visited the Vostochny cosmodrome, where he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
