The two leaders will discuss the possibility of North Korea supplying Moscow with weapons to support its military invasion of Ukraine.

Kim Jong Un is likely to ride an armored train, The New York Times has learned.

The news of the possible meeting follows the White House’s announcement that it has new information that talks on the supply of arms between the two countries are “actively moving forward”.

White House National Security Council Press Secretary John Kirby informed that the Russian Defense Minister recently went to North Korea to “try to convince Pyongyang to sell artillery ammunition to Russia.”

Putin and Kim Jong-un have since exchanged letters “committing to increased bilateral cooperation,” he said.

“We urge the DPRK to cease arms negotiations with Russia and abide by Pyongyang’s publicly stated commitment not to supply or sell arms to Russia,” Kirby said.

He warned that the US would take action, including sanctions, if North Korea supplied Russia with weapons.

The exact place of the planned meeting is not clear, but it could take place in Vladivostok, reports “The New York Times”.
