As reported Associated pressOn Friday (6/1/2023), Kim Jong Un openly invited his daughter to attend at least three public events in recent months, namely at the missile launch site, at a photo session with weapons scientists, and during a missile facility tour .
North Korean state media called Kim Jong Un’s daughter the “most beloved child”, sparking debate over whether she was groomed to inherit her father’s throne, even though she is believed to be around 9-10 years old.
National Intelligence Service South Korea (South Korea) or NIS in a closed meeting with a parliamentary committee this week discussed the issue of Kim Jong Un’s purpose in revealing one of his sons named Ju Ae to the public.
According to one of the South Korean lawmakers who attended the closed meeting, Yoo Sang Bum, the NIS expressed confidence that Kim Jong Un took his daughter in public to show North Koreans his determination to carry out the transition of hereditary power in the his family.
However, Yoo said, NIS also felt that Kim Jong Un’s daughter’s appearance in public did not mean that she would directly replace her father later.
South Korean media reports claim that Kim Jong Un has three children, born in 2010, 2013 and 2017 respectively. Kim Jong Un’s first child is reportedly a boy, while his third child is a girl.
