North Korean leader Kim Jong Un left on Sunday on his armored train from eastern Russia towards the North Korean border, according to what Russian agencies reported, concluding a 6-day visit to the country during which he met with President Vladimir Putin.
“The farewell ceremony for the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was held at the Artyom-Primorsky-1 station, where Kim Jong-un’s armored train was,” RIA Novosti reported.
A farewell ceremony was held for the North Korean leader at Primorsky railway station, where Kim boarded his armored train heading to North Korea.
The agency indicated that the train “headed towards the Khasan border crossing… the distance is approximately 250 kilometers.”
Before heading back to his country, Kim Jong Un, as part of his tour in the Russian Far East, visited the Primorsky Aquarium in the city of Vladivostok.
The North Korean leader attended a marine animal show and toured the museum, accompanied by the governor of the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kogemyako, and the Russian ambassador to North Korea, Alexander Matsegora.
Kim Jong Un arrived in the Russian Primorsky Territory on board his armored train on a working visit to Russia last Tuesday.
Last Wednesday, he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny space airport.
